Jose Mourinho called world's best manager by Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham hailed Jose Mourinho as the best manager in the world after the Englishman’s match-winning Rome derby brace.

AS Roma romped to a 3-0 win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico last month on March 20.

The England striker, 24, got on the scoresheet twice as the Giallorossi moved above the Biancocelestiinto fifth place in the Serie A table behind Italian rivals Juventus and Inter Milan.

Abraham quickly opened the scoring inside the first minute after Lorenzo Pellegrini’s corner came back off the crossbar.

A Rick Karsdorp cross was swept home by the 24-year-old before the stroke of half-time to make it two before Pellegrini added Roma’s third – and his eighth of the season overall – with a brilliant free kick five minutes before the break.

Former Chelsea star Abraham, who was deemed surplus to requirements by Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, revealed that he views Mourinho as the world’s best.

Abraham told talkSPORT: “Well, Mourinho, he’s a character that we all know, you know.

“For me, there’s a reason why I call him the best manager in the world.

“He knows how to drive you, he knows how to get under your skin, and he knows how to make you feel like you’re a very special player at times.

“He will never tell you, you know, but for me it’s just about – I always want to do my best for him. I always want to do my best. He pushes me to do my best. Even when I feel like I’ve done enough he tells me I need to do more.

“For me, I experienced him once when I was at Chelsea.

“When I was a little kid, I went to train with the first team, and yeah he was always hard on me, he was always pushing me to better myself.

“I feel like I would do something right but he would tell me to do it better.
