Swansea City press conference Live: Sheehan holds first briefing since Williams sacking
The start of a new chapter at Swansea City is upon us.
The departure of head coach Luke Williams, who was dismissed from his post on Monday after a run of eight defeats in 10 games in all competitions, has cast another cloud of uncertainty over the club.
Even by Swansea's own standards, this has been a somewhat turbulent campaign, and interim boss Alan Sheehan is the man tasked with trying to steady the ship, and keep the club away from the bottom three.
Swansea are eight points clear of the drop zone, but given their rotten run of form, there was clearly a feeling that a change was needed.
The search for a head coach is well underway, with Eric Ramsay now the bookies' favourite to take over. Sheehan himself, having taken interim charge following the sacking of Michael Duff last season, was understood to be keen on the job before Williams was hired, and it remains to be seen whether he would be interested this time around.
For now, he must prepare the players for the visit of Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
We're set to hear from Sheehan at around 3.30pm and you can follow all the latest with our live blog below.
