Swansea City 0-1 Sheffield United: Khadra fires home dramatic injury-time winner to break Swans' hearts

Reda Khadra fired home from a counter attack in the final minute of injury-time as Sheffield United snatched a late victory at Swansea City.

Rhian Brewster, Sander Berge, Oli McBurnie and Rhys Norrington-Davies all had good openings for the visitors while Joel Piroe had several chances to bulge the net for the home side.

And just as the points looked destined to be shared, Brewster squared to substitute Khadra who lashed home at the death to earn the visitors a dramatic win.

Russell Martin made just one alteration to the side that started in the win over Queens Park Rangers 10 days earlier, with Jay Fulton replacing Jamie Paterson to shore up the midfield. Olivier Ntcham returned to the matchday squad in place of the injured Liam Cullen, although striker Michael Obafemi remained absent.

The Blades came into the match at the summit of the Championship table having gone seven games unbeaten in the league since losing at Watford on the opening day. And they created a fine chance to break the deadlock inside two minutes as Berge crossed to former Swansea academy product Norrington-Davies whose header was saved by Steven Benda.

Paul Heckingbottom's men looked more than comfortable whether going direct or playing on the deck, and it was another ex-Swansea man in McBurnie who had the opportunity to score early on, although he failed to turn George Baldock's cross on target.
