Gorka Marquez says 'I'm just a dancer' as he responds to 'fame' and makes 'lucky' Gemma Atkinson comment

Gorka Marquez has told fans that he's 'just a dancer' after being quizzed on fame. The Strictly Come Dancing star took part in a fresh Q&A on social media in which he was quizzed about everything from the BBC One dance contest to his family life with Gemma Atkinson and his fitness regime.

Gorka celebrated turning 33 earlier this week by looking back at his little surprise birthday treat his wife-to-be put together before he spent his actual birthday away from home for work. Hits Radio host Gemma pulled out all the stops a day early for her man as he was forced to leave home again for work.

The Spanish dancer actually had to leave the family home and head to London where Strictly rehearsals were taking place just days after son Thiago, or Tio for short, made his grand entrance on July 17. He has, however, been making the trip home during the time he has off in order to spend quality time together as a family of four.

And over the weekend, he got to spend some time with Gemma their brood, which also includes four-year-old daughter Mia and his partner wanted to make it extra special due to his birthday.

Once back away from home, Gorka decided to fill some of his downtime by answering his followers' questions with one asking if he's as 'famous' in Spain as he is in the UK due to his appearance on Saturday night favourite Strictly.

And he was quite candid in his response. The dad-of-two typed back: "Well from my honest opinion I don't think of myself as a famous person. So I would say NO, I am not famous in Spain or the UK." He then added: "I AM just a dancer who is known for being part of the best TV show on tele."
