Susanna Reid accuses Ben Shephard of 'cheating' as she sends 'hands off' message during GMB reunion

Susanna Reid has accused Ben Shephard of 'cheating' on her as they were reunited on Good Morning Britain. The pair were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Thursday (September 28) after Ben enjoyed a few days working on another ITV show.

The presenter joined Holly Willoughby on This Morning as she continues on the show without a permanent co-host following Phillip Schofield's sudden exit in May. Since then, Holly has been seen alongside Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Craig Doyle.

But this week it was Ben who won praise from viewers of the ITV daytime show after he returned to front the show for the first time in six years having last hosted the show with Holly in 2017.

Following his three days co-hosting the popular programme, Ben returned to GMB on Thursday for his usual presenting slot with Susanna before he takes over on Friday with Kate Garraway. But during their reunion, after the pair welcomed viewers, Susanna told Ben: "You are on the wrong show!"

He replied: "I have been moonlighting next door," to which Susanna quipped: "I feel like you've been cheating!" Ben burst out laughing as she added: "I saw you with another woman!"

Susanna added as a clip of Ben and Holly played out: "Ohh you're like 'oh Holly, oh Holly!'" before revealing: "You know he was texting me saying 'they give you cheesecake on this show!' - in the green room, can we get cheesecake with strawberries on the top to keep him?"
