Stumbling Celtic see Monday Jury deliver new verdict on season after Cup shocker as Jimmy Thelin done dirty
KEITH JACKSON: No. Rodgers lifted two out of the three major trophies available to him and his side lost on penalties in the other. Thelin has done a solid job at Pittodrie but Rodgers has been the main man this season.
MICHAEL GANNON: Rodgers and McGlynn were worthy winners, but Thelin has done something better than picking up a nice gong – he’s etched himself in Aberdeen’s history. It’s been a wild ride for the Swede and the triumph on Saturday was incredible.
ANDY NEWPORT: The timing of these votes regularly does the Scottish Cup winning boss dirty. The Swede has had an up and down campaign but he’s cleaned up his act at Hampden. He’ll just have to make do with Aberdeen immortality.
SCOTT BURNS: A manager outside of the Old Firm who wins a cup needs to come into consideration. He won’t care, he now has legendary status at Pittodrie.
KEITH: They won a double. This mindset that anything less than a clean sweep simply is not healthy. Celtic turned in one of their worst performances of the season on Saturday but are still the best team in the land by some considerable distance.
MICHAEL: A campaign that threatened to be something really special at one point but ended up just being very good. Doubles are not to be sniffed at but there’s no doubt Celts stumbled on and off the pitch after the New Year.
ANDY: A strange notion has developed lately that anything shy of a clean sweep is a let down for Celtic but that does a disservice to both the Hoops and their opponents. Celtic were terrific this season. OK they had a couple of lulls but overall they were the best team by a distance.
SCOTT: They failed to land the Treble so it was a disappointment. They made progress in the Champions League but there will be hurt that
