Strictly's Ellie Leach describes 'pressure' as dance show gets 'crazy'

Ellie Leach may be best known for her life on the cobbles. But in just a few short weeks, the soap actor has gone from tragic Faye Windass to a sequin-sporting glamazon.

The Corrie star appeared on Strictly: It Takes Two on Tuesday (October 10) night and gave a peek behind the scenes that fans loved. She was with her partner Vito Coppola discussing the Movie Week performances.

The duo did a Viennese waltz to Walking On A Miracle from the Disney film Encanto. And fans were enchanted indeed by her moves, describing her as 'one to watch'.

Describing how it felt to Fleur East on the BBC Two programme, Ellie said: "I feel like it's a little bit strange. I think because people are so used to seeing me play a character and now I'm myself, and people go 'Oh, I didn't expect her to be like that, I didn't expect her to be able to dance a little bit.

"So, yeah, it's crazy that people are saying I'm 'one to watch', I feel like 'Ohh, it's a lot of pressure'.

"I'm really happy that people can see that I'm putting my best into it and hopefully we'll progress and progress every week."

Fans took to X, the site formerly known as Twitter, to praise Ellie's story so far.
