Steven Gerrard promise can help Aston Villa beat Newcastle to £20m transfer

Reported Aston Villa transfer target Aaron Hickey is set to be a man in demand this summer.

Bologna left-back Hickey has been linked with a move to Villa and Italian giants AC Milan and now there is said to be more Premier League interest in the 19 year-old. According to Sky Sports, Brentford are now keen on the player, who earned his first Scotland caps this month, with a deal potentially totalling £20million.

They report that a couple of Premier League clubs seperate to Villa are also interested in signing Hickey after the youngster's superb season for Bologna. Hickey swapped Hearts for Italy in September 2020 and is enjoying a breakout campaign, scoring four goals in 27 appearances from left-back.
