St Johnstone vs Hearts in doubt as Premiership clash subject to morning pitch inspection

St Johnstone's Premiership meeting with Hearts will be at the mercy of a pitch inspection on Saturday morning.

Storm Eunice looks set to wreak havoc on the SPFL fixture list this weekend with Dunfermline vs Partick Thistle already shelved on Friday afternoon.

Now there's a chance the McDiarmid Park clash in the top flight could fall to the weather.

Robbie Neilson's Jambos are desperate to get back to winning ways in the league after a run of three games without a win.

But Perth hasn't been an easy place for them to go for the last decade with their only victory since 2012 coming in a Scottish Cup extra-time success.

Saints on the other hand could do with getting the game on as Callum Davidson's side hope to lift themselves off the bottom of the table.

With relegation rivals Dundee travelling to face league leaders Celtic there's a chance a result for St Johnstone would see the clubs trade places down at the bottom.

But it will all be at the mercy of referee Grant Irvine with the inspection pencilled in for 10am.
