SPL: Video shows Dundee defender making one of the worst tackles ever [video]

Dundee FC will remain bottom of the Scottish Premiership after they were beaten by Ross County 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Concerns are mounting over The Dark Blues’ ominous league position, with the side scoring their first league goal of 2022 during the match.

And despite taking the lead in the first half, they were ultimately bested by their visitors, who went on to win the game even after missing a penalty in the second half.

Dundee’s woes were further compounded after loan signing Vontae Daley-Campbell was given a straight red card in the 94th minute of the match for a reckless challenge on County forward Harry Paton.

With Ross County clearing the ball away from their box, Paton broke free at pace to try and collect the loose ball.

Coming in the opposite direction was Leicester City loanee, Daley-Campbell, who clattered into the opposition player, sending him spinning in the air and landing awkwardly on his head.

It also looks as though the Dundee right-back’s body connects with the opposite player’s head in the wild challenge and it was clear to see the striker was hurt by the foul.

Referee Don Robertson was left with little other option but to give the player his marching orders, despite the 20-year-old protesting his innocence.
