Spain scraps Covid health control form but keeps entry restrictions

British holidaymakers travelling to Spain no longer need to complete a health declaration form in order to enter the country. The Spanish Ministry of Health announced the latest update to its entry requirements on Tuesday (September 20).

Previously travellers who could not show proof of full vaccination or of having recovered from Covid-19, as well as children under 12 years old had to complete the form 48 hours before travel. Although the form has now been scrapped, some travel restrictions still remain in place.

Spain’s Ministry of Health said: “As of Tuesday 20 September 2022, the Spain Travel Health (SpTH) portal, both the website and the mobile applications, will no longer be operational. It will NO LONGER be necessary to fill in the health control form to travel to Spain NOR to present the SpTH QR code when boarding or at the arrival airport."
