Southern Counties East League round-up: Larkfield & New Hythe go top of the table, Kent Senior Trophy shoot-out victories for Punjab United and Fisher, away wins for Whitstable and Rusthall

Larkfield & New Hythe made it four Premier Division wins in a row to move a point clear at the top of the table.

They’ve also not conceded a goal since October with Matt Day’s 82nd-minute goal enough to secure a 1-0 win at Faversham Strike Force on Saturday.

Tunbridge Wells are up to sixth following a 2-1 win at Holmesdale.

D’Armando Lawrence put Wells ahead in the first half but Malachi Hudson levelled midway through the second half. However, Thomas Penfold netted for the visitors five minutes later and that’s the way it stayed.

A second successive 2-0 home win moved Hollands & Blair five points clear of the bottom two.

A goal in either half from George Goodwin and Kane Rowland was enough to defeat Chislehurst Glebe.

They were the only three league games played in the top flight with other sides in Kent Senior Trophy second round action.

Two ties were decided on penalties with Punjab beating Greenways 9-8 following a goalless draw and Fisher winning 4-2 at Snodland after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.

Fisher had led 2-0 at one stage before Zak Jacubowski and Charlie Sheringham’s injury-time equaliser forced spot-kicks.

Goals from Reuben Jones, Jake Embery, Richard Jimoh and Paddy Flynn led Bearsted to a 4-0 success at Corinthian.

They’re joined in the last eight by Whitstable, who won 4-1 at Division 1 Croydon thanks to goals from Malachai Belboda, Jevaun Splatt, Theo Osinfolarin and an own goal.

Rusthall came from behind to win 3-1 at Kennington, who led through Rajan Sahni’s 13th-minute opener.

Yassin Fares levelled from the penalty spot, Robbie Bissett made it 2-1 on the hour and Fares added a third in stoppage time.

Goals from Jamie Fearn and Joshua Fill saw FC Elmstead earn an excellent 2-0 win at Rochester United.
