Sources: Tottenham transfer priority involving Middlesbrough revealed

Tottenham have expressed an interest in both Djed Spence and Isaiah Jones but it is the latter who is currently at the top of Spurs’ list of the pair, Football League World has been told.

Tottenham hammered Everton yesterday evening in the Premier League as they ran out 5-0 winners to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive.

They’ll be hoping to make the top four come the end of the season, then, and then they’ll be looking to strengthen their squad with manager Antonio Conte vocal about how he wants to try and build Spurs’ side in the coming markets.

Jones and Spence are two players that have been linked with Tottenham in recent weeks, too, but it is Jones that Spurs currently have a preference for as things stand, Football League World has learned.

The lively attacker has been a real hit for Middlesbrough this season as they aim to get themselves back into the Premier League via the play-offs, under manager Chris Wilder.

With a goal and eight assists in the Sky Bet Championship this season, Jones has proven himself to be a real creative force for the Boro and that is why Spurs, among other sides, are taking a closer look at him.
