Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici has revealed that he is talking “every day” to manager Antonio Conte about the summer transfer window.
Spurs have suffered inconsistency for over two years now following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino. While Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo had their moments, they struggled to really stamp their mark on the team.
In fact, Nuno lasted only 17 games before Conte – another summer target – stepped in.
Conte has regularly admitted that Tottenham is one of his biggest challenges in management. He has had an instant impact at his other clubs, but has struggled to replicate such immediate success at Spurs.
Nevertheless, Tottenham can still salvage a top-four Premier League finish this season. That would secure them Champions League football for next term and for the first time since 2020.
The full focus for Paratici and Conte is firmly on the final nine games of the season.
“The most important thing is to be focused on the rest of this season,” Paratici told the Evening Standard.
“We have nine games, we work hard to be here and to enjoy these nine games. To enjoy means we have to live these nine games as finals, every game as a final.
