Manchester United recorded consecutive Premier League wins for the first time this season after beating Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Diogo Dalot's second-half effort secured all three points on 77 minutes, the United full-back curling a wonderful strike past Wes Foderingham from 20 yards. Scott McTominay had opened the scoring midway through the first half but Oli McBurnie equalised from the spot just six minutes later.

Erik ten Hag's side were far from their best in South Yorkshire but a fresh injection of energy from the substitutions helped them get over the line. They now sit eighth in the table, having leapfrogged West Ham.

The club and its supporters were in mourning before kick-off after the family of Sir Bobby Charlton confirmed his death, aged 86. Charlton is one of United's greatest-ever players and remained at the club as a director for almost 40 years.

Tributes poured in from across the world all afternoon, and the away-day travellers wasted no time in paying a tribute of their own. Long before the game kicked off, chants of 'There's only one Bobby Charlton' came from the away end.

And that chant was a constant throughout the game, growing louder when Dalot arrowed his effort into the top corner and again as the players went over to celebrate at full-time.
