Six Manchester United youngsters who could feature in pre-season friendly vs Leeds

Manchester United are back in training and pre-season is now underway.

With a long season ahead, Erik ten Hag will be keen to assess all options within his squad during the club's pre-season friendlies, which kick off against recently-relegated Championship side Leeds in Oslo on Wednesday. With United's squad returning for pre-season in two groups, there is currently a big opportunity for the club's youngsters to step up and show what they can do.

United's international players are scheduled to report from Monday as they are entitled to a minimum three-week break meaning several younger members of the squad could feature. Will Fish, Rhys Bennett, Marc Jurado, Joe Hugill, Shola Shoretire, Toby Collyer, Alvaro Fernandez, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Charlie Savage, Hannibal Mejbri, Maxi Oyedele, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad all took part in United's first pre-season training session back at Carrington on Wednesday, although some of those players are more likely to get meaningful minutes in pre-season than others.

While Nathan Bishop and Radek Vitek are available to start in goal, United may opt to start Dean Henderson in goal. The former Nottingham Forest loanee's season ended prematurely due to injury with his last appearance coming on January 14 - but with the stopper now back in training United may want to show he is fit for sale.
