Six in hospital after air ambulance lands at crash scene - live updates
An air ambulance has landed at the scene of a crash in Pengam, near Blackwood, Caerphilly which has left six people needing hospital treatment. Gwent Police said emergency services are dealing with a road traffic collision near to the crossroads of High Street, with Waun Borfa Road and Pengam Road.
Officers are warning that the road is closed and diversions are in place which may cause congestion. Traffic monitors are showing that the closure is affecting traffic between Aberbargoed and The Bryn.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service Spokesperson said three emergency ambulances had been sent to the scene and the air ambulance. They added that six people had been taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
