Simon Jordan slams Anthony Joshua over outburst in rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk

Simon Jordan has slammed Anthony Joshua after his shock outburst following his second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

The former Crystal Palace owner, 54, blasted the British boxing hero, 32, for his apparent ‘sense of entitlement’.

It’s after Joshua threw Usyk’s heavyweight titles out of the ring and launched into an astonishing rant in the aftermath of his defeat to the undefeated Ukrainian in Jeddah.

Jordan spoke rather candidly during a discussion about Joshua’s post-fight antics with Jim White and Graeme Souness.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “I think it was a combination of exasperation meeting entitlement.

“And by that I mean he’s exasperated and frustrated by the fact he could not better this guy.

“And ultimately he has a sense of entitlement because he’s been led to believe that he’s something that he’s not.

“I keep hearing this narrative that Anthony Joshua rebuilt British boxing and Anthony Joshua is responsible for the increase of British boxing.

“Well I’m sorry, but they put 80,000 fight fans in [Wembley] for Carl Froch vs George Groves before Anthony Joshua was ever doing stadium fights, so that’s nonsense and diminishes other fighters.

“You then look at the scorecards and look at that in all of its nuances and peculiarities.

“That was not a split decision. That was a split decision because somehow it validates the next chapter of Anthony Joshua on DAZN that someone can monetise him there.

“He was beaten convincingly by Usyk, Usyk was the better fighter.
