Conor McGregor UFC comeback: Notorious' manager provides update on 2022 chances
Conor McGregor became a household name among the combat-sporting community when he ignited the UFC scene on his debut fight in 2013.
That night, McGregor won ‘Knockout of the Night’ during his victory over Marcus Brimage.
Since then, his career has been nothing other than galvanising. With extraordinary highs and plummeting lows, McGregor has never been far from the spotlight.
However, his horror-injury during the UFC 264 defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021 has forced Conor (and his ego) into a quiet recovery as he prepares for his highly-anticipated UFC comeback.
McGregor’s manager, Tim Simpson told MMA Junkie:

McGregor fans got an inkling of the brutal training regime Conor follows in the 2017 Amazon Prime documentary ‘Notorious’ which saw the Irishman train whilst injured.
Despite his obvious setbacks, McGregor has always brandished the cult-like confidence which has seen him gain so much notoriety. Regularly active on Instagram and Twitter, Conor is keen to boast his repairing physique.
One man praying for a McGregor recovery is UFC President Dana White who has previously suggested that the Irishman could return as early as this winter. In spite of this, Simpson has confirmed Conor will be unable to make a UFC comeback before 2023.
As Conor prepares for what is expected to be an imminent UFC return, it appears his focus has turned elsewhere.
