Simon Jordan rips into Celtic and Rangers over away fan lockout as he wants SANCTIONS for 'small-minded' behaviour

Simon Jordan has let rip over the Celtic and Rangers away fan lockout accusing the rivals of being 'small-minded' - and would like to see them SANCTIONED if it continues.

The loudmouth pundit - who is never shy on offering his opinion and views on the Scottish game - discussed the latest twist in the saga from the derby rivals live on talkSPORT with Jim White. The former Sky Sports man, best known for his Deadline Day antics, started off the debate by insisting he can't believe the current situation and said the duo need to get their 'heads knocked together'.

He then gave the floor to former Crystal Palace owner Jordan, who branded the whole situation as a 'very poor show' while he also took aim at the governing body north of the border and questioned why they are not getting the rivals together and handing out sanctions over not allowing away fans. He reckons dealing out financial penalties and then points deductions would push people to 'quickly get themselves into a situation where they can resolve an issue rather than sit there with a stand-off.' Jordan: "Well it appears to me Scottish football needs every opportunity to have its best foot forward. Given that the two leading lights in Scottish football are Rangers and Celtic and given the commerciality of Scottish football is very low in terms of the revenue they generate from broadcast deals and interest from commercial endorsements, I think this is a very poor show to allow this to continue.
