Shota Arveladze's verdict as Hull City equal worst ever home record

Shota Arveladze felt Hull City's 1-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town was harsh on his side, having played the entire second half with 10 men following Tom Eaves' sending off on the stroke of half-time.

City were valiant throughout and looked to be holding out for a well-earned point at the MKM Stadium until Harry Toffolo poked in at the back post with 10 minutes remaining after yet another fine stop from goalkeeper Matt Ingram.

The Tigers came close to snatching a deserved point in added time at the end of a controversial game when substitute Allahyar headed inches wide following a good right-wing cross, but it went the wrong side of the post and City were left to contemplate a sixth straight home loss for just the second time in their history.

"I think we should have got more from the game, I've probably said this after the last game but today I'm probably more disappointed," the Georgian boss told Hull Live.

"We stayed in the game right to the end, I am pleased with the boys and I said to them well done with how they played. WIth 10 men, we all know it is not easy to dominate. I think the boys did well. The decision has been made, when there's a coming together and one player goes down, it happens.

"With 20 seconds to go until the break I'm planning what to say and then this happens, it's not easy. I made a change in the final 12 minutes to go, playing two strikers and you're hoping something drops.

"I think in general we should have got more, we didn't deserve to lose this. I won't complain about the sending off, the only thing I can say is that in this league, it seems easy to give. It wasn't a late tackle, both players bounce off each other, it wasn't a shirt pull or a late foul. You could let him go, I see lots
