Sheffield Wednesday release 1,000 extra tickets for season finale against Portsmouth

Sheffield Wednesday have released 1,000 additional tickets in the West Lower Tier of Hillsborough for the season finale against Portsmouth. The Owls know a win would guarantee their place in the League One play-offs at the end of the campaign.

A draw could be enough, if results go their way, but Darren Moore's side are hoping a bumper crowd will roar them over the line. Once the 1,000 additional tickets are sold there will be no further tickets released for the tie.

A club statement read: "The Owls are pleased to confirm that we are able to open the West Lower Tier for home supporters for Saturday’s season finale against Portsmouth (12:30pm). As a result, 1,000 extra seats are now on general sale and once sold there will be no additional tickets.

"Supporters who purchase in the West Lower Tier should enter via turnstiles 11A to 14A which are positioned towards the South Stand side of the West Lower and fans must approach from that side of the stadium. At the end of the game supporters in the West Stand Lower Tier should exit via Gate 6A beneath the South Stand leading on to Parkside Road and Penistone Road."

The club is expecting an attendance in the region of 33,500 for the clash with Danny Cowley's side. The Owls know it'll be no easy feat having watched Pompey come from behind to defeat league leaders Wigan.
