Man Utd ‘progressing in talks’ with agent of Ajax defender – Ten Hag handed £150m budget
According to reports, Man Utd are ‘progressing in talks’ with the agent of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber ahead of the summer transfer window.
Timber was first linked with a move to the Red Devils earlier this month.
The 20-year-old progressed through the ranks at Ajax and he made his debut for them towards the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

He has been an ever-present for the Dutch giants this term, playing 40 times across all competitions.
Timber is primarily a centre-back but he is also capable of playing at full-back.
Si.com are reporting that Man Utd are ‘progressing in talks’ with Timber’s agent.
Ajax are said to be ‘aware’ of United’s interest in their defender and the player is ‘ready to make the next step’.
The report goes onto state that new United boss Erik ten Hag will have £150m to spend on new signings this summer. Timber is rated at £27m by transfermarkt.
Elsewhere, Man Utd host Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea on Thursday night in the Premier League.
Ahead of this game, Ralf Rangnick has revealed that numerous United players are unavailable:
