Sheffield Wednesday fans 'buzzing' after Birmingham City transfer

Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the latest arrival of Birmingham City captain Harlee Dean.

The 30-year-old joined Darren Moore's League One side for the rest of the season.

The loan move becomes Dean's first spell away from St Andrew's after a four-and-a-half-year connection with the club.

But after 184 appearances for Blues, head coach Lee Bowyer admitted some players needed a change of scenery from their 'comfort zone.'

Many Owls faithful took to social media to react to the "great signing."

"Be great if we could sign him permanently, very doubtful I guess though," one Wednesday fan said on Twitter.

"Cracking signing I think, player with quality and understanding of the game," another added.

Here is the rest of the reaction...

"Good signing. I expect him to be put straight in the team as a substitute false no nine."

"He doesn't have a broken leg so it's a start."

"Play him straight away. Need that aerial threat and leadership...."

"Great signing."

"Benchwarmer no 2..."

"It’s going to be some bench on Saturday!"

"Best signing of Moore's reign so far."

"Work your magic."

"Announce promotion."

"I am buzzing. Say what you want about Moore his pulling power is a joke he could pull Beyoncé at a Jay Z concert."

"He’s alright I guess another defender on the bench because it’s Moore."

"Interesting to see how this lad does and if he’s ahead of Storey. Would be brilliant if he can be a regular even when Iorfa, Dunkley and Hutchinson are fit."

"Can we confirm he knows how to defend from a free kick?"
