Manchester City travel to play newly-promoted Sheffield United in their latest Premier League fixture today. The Blues know that if they beat the Blades they will go top with the only remaining 100 per cent record in the top flight.

City will be without manager Pep Guardiola, who underwent surgery on a back problem earlier this week. He is recovering in Barcelona and will not return until after the international break.

Assistant Juanma Lillo will take charge at Bramall Lane and should have a strong XI to select with Bernardo Silva likely to be available and Nathan Ake set to return.

City completed the signing of winger Jeremy Doku this week but it remains to be seen whether the management team decide to throw him straight into action today.

The hosts have lost their first two matches of their Premier League return and couldn't face a tougher test for their third fixture.
