Shearer: Kane would ‘obliterate’ goal record if he left Spurs for PL rival
Alan Shearer believes Harry Kane would “obliterate” his Premier League goal record if he left Tottenham for Manchester City.
Kane announced last summer that he was looking to leave Tottenham. He stated that this was down to him wanting to increase his chances of winning team trophies.

The forward started to the 2021/22 season poorly but he is now back to his best. He has ten goals from his last 13 Premier League games.
Kane is now level with Frank Lampard on 177 Premier League goals. He is 83 behind Shearer’s incredible tally of 260.
The Newcastle United legend thinks his record would be “obliterated” if Kane signed for Man City:
“He’s got a very good opportunity, but there’s a lot of ifs and buts attached to that. If he stays injury free, if he stays at Tottenham. If he were to go to Man City,” Shearer said (via Chronicle Live).
“If he was to go to Man City he would probably obliterate it within three or four years.
“He’s 29 this summer so absolutely he has a really good chance of breaking it. Do I want him to? Probably not no because I like seeing myself at the top of the list.
“It’ll go one day, and if it goes Harry would be worthy of it definitely.”
