'Sensational' - Excited Hull City fans clap eyes on club emblazoned airline ahead of summer trip

Acun Ilicali has had a Boeing 737-800 emblazoned in Hull City colours, fuelling speculation as to whether this is the plane that will take supporters on a jolly this summer.

In April, the Tigers owner revealed he is planning to take 500 lucky supporters to his home country, Turkey. Speaking to HullLive last month, Ilicali insisted there will be lots of activities planned. Images circulating of the plane - donning the City badge and colours - have heightened fan excitement ahead of the trip. The aircraft is owned by Turkish airline Corendon, further strengthening ties between the club and the country.

Media maverick Ilicali’s TV company is believed to be funding the summer trip as he continues his quest to put Hull City on the map. The process to select the lucky passengers remains a work in progress but long-serving fans who have attended regularly in the past will likely be prioritised.

Supporters were quick to react to the owner’s Instagram video showcasing the snazzy new design.
