Sell, marry, avoid - Man United transfer priorities with £45m man, Jadon Sancho and Dutch disaster

Manchester United's work in the summer transfer window is under way. Although so far, it's a slow burn.

The transfer window officially opened last week for Premier League sides, although business has yet to explode into life because of Euro 2024 and the Copa America. Players and agents have distracting priorities.

Regardless, United are pushing on with their transfer plans and negotiations remain ongoing with Everton for defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who didn't make England's squad. An offer starting at £35million with add-ons was tabled and rejected.

United will be forced to walk away from the table if the price for Branthwaite is too high and it's fascinating to analyse what their transfer priorities should be this summer.
