Seething Rangers lifers demand intervention as Celtic mischief maker blows up the Hotline

We're three days out from Scotland’s biggest game in a generation and for some the Euro excitement levels are reaching fever pitch.

But for the others on the Hotline, it’s the humdrum of domestic squabbles which are still occupying thoughts despite the clock ticking down towards Friday night’s date with destiny in Deutchsland. The Negative Normans can wait, though, as first up was Gavin MacLeod, who said: “I’m buzzing for the Euros opener with Germany. I really fancy Scotland to get a result in Munich and I think we might just surprise a few folk. Yes results haven’t been great this year but when it mattered during the qualifying campaign, Steve Clarke’s side found a way to get the job done. Hopefully they’ll do the same against the hosts.”

Robert McEwan, Mount Vernon, was feeling optimistic too, saying: “I can't wait for the Euros to start. I think Scotland is going to do really well. In fact, I think we will top the section march into the knock-out stages. I just hope all of Scotland gets right behind Steve Clarke and the boys.”

Alan Lough, Dunbar, is feeling confident … about England flopping: “Despite the usual saturation of hype from the media down south, England have got no chance of winning the European Championships. They are overhyped and overrated and this tournament has got France as winners written all over it.”
