Search underway on wasteland with path taped off as part of 'ongoing police investigation'

A search is underway on wasteland in part of east Manchester as part of an 'ongoing police investigation'.

The search has been ongoing on Ralph Street, on the border of Clayton and Droylsden, since Tuesday (October 31), a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said. It is 'intelligence-led' and is in connection to an 'ongoing investigation'. Further details have not been released.

This morning, multiple Tactical Aid Unit vans were stationed on the street just off Ashton New Road. Pictures showed crime scene tape in place near a wooded area and pathway.
