Sean McVay Offers Cryptic Update On Stetson Bennett's NFL Future

Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay had some curious words when discussing Stetson Bennett's status on the roster.

The two-time national champion at Georgia was placed on the non-football injury/illness list at the start of the 2023 NFL season, and hasn't played a single snap of any kind of football since.

In fact, nobody has any idea what he's been up to. The team has never provided any details about why Bennett isn't playing, where he is or when the fourth-round pick might return to the Rams.

McVay simply described the decision to move him off the active roster as "bigger than football." His latest comments don't provide much clarification at all.

McVay says the team will "connect with" Bennett "at the appropriate time," according to Los Angeles Times reporter Klein.

The Rams coach added, "And you figure out, 'All right, where are you at?' And is this something we feel like is best for him and our football team to bring him back into this ecosystem."

Hopefully, whatever is going on with Bennett gets smoothed out, and he can eventually return. It'd be completely irresponsible to speculate, and I'm definitely not going to do that here.

I will just say that you never want anyone to struggle with anything to the point where it takes you away from a team for an entire season.

That's the situation Bennett has seemingly found himself in, and it's incredible no information has leaked. The Rams have kept an
