BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Ellie Leach stays 'true' to herself in 'first-ever' amid romance 'confirmation'

Ellie Leach experienced a fresh 'first' as she ditched her home in Manchester for London but the experience left the Strictly Come Dancing winner staying very much true to herself and her northern roots.

The actress is currently preparing for her next gig after winning the BBC One dance contest at the end of last year with professional dancer Vito Coppola.

Ellie, 22, is set to make her stage debut in the play Cluedo 2 and went straight into rehearsals off the back of finishing the Strictly live tour earlier this month which saw her and Vito, 31, reunited and performing in arenas up and down the country across three weeks with their dancing co-stars.

But it appears Ellie has once again had to leave home in readiness for her next role which will again see her touring the country, stopping off in her home city.

The five-month UK tour marks the world premiere of Cluedo 2 - The Next Chapter, and will kick off at Richmond Theatre on 29 February before visiting theatres across the UK until July. The tour will also include a week-long run on home turf for Ellie at The Lowry Theatre in Salford.

Speaking about the new role, which sees her play the role of Miss Scarlet, taking over from Helen Flanagan after she was 'advised to withdraw due to medical reasons', Ellie said: "After an incredible year I’m so excited to join the cast of Cluedo 2. I am delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and I can’t wait to work with Jason and the talented cast."
