Scott Sinclair faces transfer wait as Celtic hero headlines 15 looming Preston free agents

Celtic hero Scott Sinclair faces a waiting game over his Preston future as boss Ryan Lowe won't be rushed into making a final call over his 15 free agents.

The Deepdale boss admits he has some big decisions to make and one of those surrounds what comes next for the winger.

Preston are seven points outside the Championship playoff spots and know a strong finish could see them nab a top six finish.

Sinclair has made 24 appearances this season but his only goals were a brace in the EFL Cup win away to Mansfield in August.

The Celtic favourite could be on the move but he won't find out just yet over what comes next in a career that has had stops at Chelsea and Manchester City.

Lowe said: “There is loads of time.

"There is time and you've got to make sure it's right, but we'll discuss that in-house, what I want and how it's looking.

"Every single player has had their opportunity to showcase what they are about since I've come through the door and they'll continue to get that.

"Because, who knows, someone might get in the team from now until the end of the season, rip it up and then you've got no choice but to make sure that they stay with you.

"So there won't be any decisions made on that, it'll be made as late as it possibly can. But, I will be open and honest with the ones who I feel can move on and find another football club - to advance their careers - as early as I possibly can.

"But I won't be leaving myself short on any decisions, I will wait until I need to wait. If they are contracted to us until June 30th, then I can wait until then. We will try and get it done as quickly as we feel we can."
