Birmingham City and the rest of the Championship will be on the look out for free agents this summer. Blues definitely need help in defence - and once their loan attackers return to their parent clubs, will also be in need of some inspiration up front.
Technical director Craig Gardner has outlined a strategy that will see Blues target their transfer fees at younger players, while being open to bringing in more experienced ones on frees and team-friendly contracts.
