Scott McTominay makes admission after scoring for Manchester United vs Galatasaray

Midfielder Scott McTominay has admitted that he is hungry to continue adding goals to his game after getting himself on the scoresheet in Manchester United's 3-3 draw with Galatasaray last night.

McTominay netted United's third goal of the evening at Rams Park, firing them into a 3-1 lead 10 minutes into the start of the second half. He connected with Aaron Wan-Bissaka's low cross from the right and diverted the ball past Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera on the stretch.

That, however, was not enough to secure United all three points and boost their chances of reaching the last-16 of the Champions League, with Galatasaray staging an excellent comeback to secure a point. United must now beat Bayern Munich and hope Galatasaray draw with FC Copenhagen on matchday six to progress to the knockout stages.

On a personal note, McTominay's goal, which was his very first in Europe's premier club competition, has increased his tally in all competitions for United this season to four. Adding more goals to his collection is a target he has set himself.

"It's something I want to add to my game," McTominay admitted, speaking to reporters after the game. "I'm obviously delighted with that in terms of I think that's my first Champions League goal.

"Hopefully the result goes away tonight and we can keep pushing forwards as well."

United, who were beaten 3-2 by Galatasaray at Old Trafford in October, had chances to put themselves out of sight and return to Manchester second in the group. However, they failed to compose themselves at key junctures.
