Scott McTominay is Napoli rock star as buzzing fans swarm airport and celebrate £25m Man United capture

Scotland international Scott McTominay earned a rock star reception from jubilant Napoli supporters as they swarmed the airport to meet their new £25million hero.

The Manchester United star said yes to Antonio Conte and will join his former Old Trafford team-mate Romelu Lukaku in the former Chelsea and Tottenham manager's major rebuild in southern Italy. And fans were over the moon to clap eyes on the midfielder who will pen a five-year contract with Napoli.

McTominay will end his 22-year association with United as he aims to become the latest Scot to star in Serie A after Lewis Ferguson and Aaron Hickey with Josh Doig and Liam Henderson also turning heads. But Billy Gilmour will not be joining him in Naples after his deal was kiboshed in the wake of new Brighton boy Matt O'Riley suffering an ankle injury which needs surgery.
