Scott McTominay closing in on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Manchester United record after late drama vs Brentford

Scott McTominay sent an emphatic message on Saturday after coming off the bench to score two added-time goals in Manchester United's 2-1 win at home to Brentford.

United welcomed Thomas Frank's side to Old Trafford off the back of their worst start to a season in 39 years, having lost six of their opening 10 matches across all competitions. Pressure was already building on Erik ten Hag who needed to arrest the slump with three points.

The Norwegian scored 11 straight goals in front of the Old Trafford crowd in the league between March 1999 and April 2000, a period in which he also scored a pretty important goal in Barcelona during the Champions League final.
