'Save the legsssss' - Casemiro sends amusing message to Manchester United teammate Diogo Dalot

Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has been putting the finishing touches to his mid-summer training programme ahead of reporting back for the start of pre-season.

Dalot is among the members of Erik ten Hag's squad who have been granted a longer summer break after featuring in European Championship qualifiers and other international fixtures last month. Some players have already made their way back to Carrington while members of the international contingent are not due back until later this month.

Dalot featured once for Portugal during last month's crop of international fixtures, starting their 1-0 away win over Iceland on June 20, meaning it has not been all that long since he last played. That marked his 49th and final appearance of the 2022/23 season for club and country.

Though he has enjoyed some downtime, being pictured on holiday with former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, the right-back has been maintaining his fitness levels during the break. He recently took to Instagram to share some pictures and videos of him doing some gym work.

Accompanying the collection of images and videos, the Portuguese international posted: "Level up," accompanied by an upwards arrow, before adding: "Off season," along with a flame emoji.

As well as the post attracting more than 50,000 likes, Dalot, who will be competing with Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the right-back spot during pre-season, it also generated no shortage of comments, featuring one apiece from United teammates Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro. The duo, who
