Cristiano Ronaldo 'trying to tempt another Manchester United defender to join Al-Nassr' and other transfer rumours

Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly attempting to persuade Eric Bailly to join him at Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo's lure has already worked its charm this weekend when United announced Alex Telles had joined the Middle East club.

And according to Sky Sports, the Portuguese great is not stopping there. The 38-year-old is reported to have been in contact with Bailly over switching to Al-Nassr.

Last season, the Frenchman was on loan at Marseille but the Ligue 1 club is unlikely to make the deal permanent this summer. It is understood the centre-back is valued at £20m and is on Erik ten Hag's list of players who can leave Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Fichajes reports Tottenham Hotspur are readying themselves to step up their interest in former United captain Harry Maguire. Earlier this month, the England international was stripped of the captaincy by Ten Hag.

MEN Sport understands United value Maguire at £50m which is likely to price several clubs out of the conversation. However, new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is wanting to 'focus all his efforts' on the 30-year-old as he bids to strengthen his defence.

It is believed Postecoglou is attracted to Maguire because of his 'experience and leadership abilities'. Currently, the central defender is United's fourth choice and Ten Hag recently signed Jonny Evans on a short-term deal to feature in their pre-season tour.
