Sasha Banks WWE return: Recent social media activity has fans worried

Sasha Banks has changed her name on Twitter, leading some fans to speculate that her reported return to WWE could now be off.

Soon after Vince McMahon’s retirement, it was reported by the Wrestling Observer that Triple H had been in contact with Banks in an attempt to bring her and Naomi back to WWE.

In fact, reports from the same source in August stated that Banks and Naomi had agreed to return to WWE, but neither woman has shown up on TV yet.

As noted, reports that emerged in August stated that Banks was returning, but we’re now approaching October and there has been no sign of ‘The Boss’ on any WWE show.

The delay in Sasha coming back to WWE has led some fans to believe that perhaps the reporters jumped the gun when they claimed that Banks’ deal to return was essentially “done”.

The speculation that perhaps Banks isn’t returning to WWE anytime soon was fuelled last night when fans noticed that she’d changed her Twitter handle.

As you can see from the image below, Banks changed her Twitter handle, which was previously @SashaBanksWWE, to her real name.

While this certainly isn’t 100% confirmation that Banks won’t be returning, some have taken her recent social media activity to be a potential sign that her comeback isn’t as imminent as originally thought.

As you can see from the selection of tweets from fans below, the feeling amongst some is that Banks won’t be coming back to work for Triple H anytime soon.

It’s again worth noting that Sasha changing her Twitter name isn’t 100% confirmation that she is or isn’t coming back to WWE.

Some have even speculated that the former Raw Women’s Champion may have changed her name to throw fans off the scent for her return.
