San Diego Open: Iga Swiatek could extend unique record after reaching final

Iga Świątek continued her 100 per cent win record over Coco Gauff at the San Diego Open on Saturday.

The two met for the fourth time in their careers during the quarter-finals of the US tournament, and the world number one made easy work of banking another win for her impressive tally.

Świątek won the Miami Open, adding the trophy to her Indian Wells title to become just the fourth woman in history to win the Sunshine Double.

Just three months later, Gauff was once again faced with the task of trying to topple the dominant Świątek, this time, at her first ever Grand Slam final.

It was a huge milestone moment for Gauff, but just
