Hull City vs Birmingham City delayed because goals were too big

There were bizarre scenes before Sunday afternoon’s Championship clash between Hull City and Birmingham City.

Kick-off was delayed by 20 minutes because the goals were too big. Yes, you read that right. The goals were too big.

The goals were measured and it was discovered that the goals were two inches too big. 

The posts subsequently had to be sawed shorter by staff, while Hawkeye was recalibrated.
