Salford fire LIVE as blaze breaks out at synagogue with huge plumes of smoke seen
Emergency services are in attendance at what looks like a serious fire on Northumberland Street in Salford this evening (January 31).
Photos sent into the M.E.N. show the upper stories of a house ablaze, with an enormous plume of smoke billowing from the property.
Emergency services are at the scene. Police have confirmed the blaze is at a synagogue.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been approached for comment.

Good evening. We have received reports of a significant fire on a residential street in Salford.
Witnesses have told the M.E.N they believe the building on Northumberland Street, Higher Broughton, to have been ablaze for around 45 minutes.
They have also seen emergency services are at the scene, including firefighters tackling the blaze.
