Rylan Clark sent demand by fans amid This Morning return - but it's nothing to do with ITV show

Rylan Clark has been flooded with a demand from fans amid his return to This Morning - but it's nothing to do with his position on the ITV show. In recent months, viewers have been demanding the presenter be made the permanent host of the ITV daytime show.

Rylan, 35, returned to host the programme towards the end of last year after a lengthy spell away from presenting duties on the popular programme. He has since been seen hosting the show alongside the likes of Emma Willis, Cat Deeley and Josie Gibson and it was Josie he was back with as This Morning returned on Tuesday (January 2).

But it was actually how Rylan brought in the New Year that has had fans rushing to comment. The BBC Radio 2 star returned to his singing roots as he appeared as part of Rick Astley's BBC One show New Year’s Eve Rocks show which was pre-recorded at the Roundhouse in Camden and aired before the annual firework spectacular took place in the capital on Sunday (December 31).

Rylan joined Rick on stage and the pair sang their own rendition of You Spin Me Round while Texas star Sharleen Spiteri was also a special guest on the night.

Taking to Instagram on Monday (January 1) before his on-screen return, Rylan shared a picture of himself alongside Rick and Sharleen on stage. "Cheers to these two," he simply captioned the post to his two million followers who were quick to respond to the post and issue a clear demand.

@petrinajwoolley said: "Please release You Spin Me Round with Rick." @tez2101 commented: "What a fantastic show to bring us into the new year.
