Ryan Kent leads lengthy Rangers absentees list as six stars to miss out on St Mirren clash

Michael Beale has confirmed Antonio Colak and Ryan Kent are amongst those who will not be fit for Rangers' weekend's return to Ibrox.

It's been a dramatic couple of weeks at Ibrox, as Douglas Park steps down as chairman and sporting director Ross Wilson moves on to Nottingham Forest. On the park a 3-2 defeat to Celtic last weekend was the first Premiership loss of Beale's reign since arriving in December and it leaves them 12 points off the leaders with seven games to go ahead of this weekend's match at home with St Mirren.

While their title dreams look done until next season with the Hoops having dropped just four points all campaign, a big Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic awaits in a couple of weeks. The Buddies come first though for Rangers and they are struggling with absentees ahead of it. Connor Goldson was already confirmed as out with an injury but Ridvan Yilmaz, Ryan Jack and Scott Wright join regular winger Kent and Colak out of action.

Beale said: "A few missing for the weekend. Connor Goldson is still unavailable. Ridvan, Colak, Wright, Jack and Kent are also unavailable for the weekend.

"We will have to assess, one or two are just nicks and niggles that we don't want to take a risk on. Ryan Kent at the end of the game had an awkward landing and has quite a lot of bruising around it and has not been able to return to training this week.

"We need to assess where that is early part of next week. Ridvan will be back, Colak has a slight problem with his calf, Jack opened his knee a little bit but we don't think there's anything major."
