Ryan Kent blanked on Fenerbahce VIP 'quality' list as former Rangers star snubbed amid rousing call to arms

Ryan Kent is settling in to life at Fenerbahce, but a leading section of fans reckon the former Rangers man doesn't qualify as a 'quality' signing.

The Turkish giants haven't spent big in the summer transfer window, but have recruited some top names including former Manchester City and Inter Milan hitman Edin Dzeko, and highly-rated Serbian international Dusan Tadic. Kent joined up for the Fenerbahce charge after saying goodbye to Rangers following four years at the club. It was over £7million to Liverpool in 2019 that brought the popular winger to Glasgow before he didn't pen new terms under Michael Beale and was free to leave, opting for the Turkey big hitters.

And the 27-year-old has featured in pre-season friendlies against Zenit St Petersburg, and Red Star Belgrade, with Kent netting against the latter in Rangers' memorable run to the Europa League final in 2022. But the Englishman isn't the hot topic of conversation from official fan website 12 Numara, who have put out a call to arms to the club over transfers. Fenerbahce were gutted to lose out on Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha who looked set to snub a Saudi Arabia offer to join Kent and Co.

In the end the ex-Premier League star chose rivals Galatasaray in a move that irked the Turkish team. And the leading fan site reckons it was a blunder on the part of their side, but that more quality signings are required. They name-dropped the bigger arrivals in Istanbul, but snubbed Kent completely from the list.
