Ruben Dias explains how Man City are approaching season run-in amid silverware hunt

Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has insisted Pep Guardiola's side are still targeting every available trophy this season after their convincing win over Liverpool on Saturday.

The Blues went 1-0 down at the Etihad after Mohamed Salah put Liverpool in front in the 17th minute, but Julian Alvarez - who played in place of the injured Erling Haaland - made it 1-1 before the half time break. City dominated proceedings in the second period and scored three times to make it 4-1, with Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish all on the scoresheet.

City's triumph saw them move within five points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table, however, the Gunners responded with a victory against Leeds United later in the day. The reigning champions remain eight points behind the London outfit, albeit with a game in hand.

Guardiola's men also remain in the hunt for FA Cup and Champions League glory this season. Having progressed to the semi-finals and quarter-finals respectively, the Blues will be aiming to end the campaign with at least one trophy - but ideally two or three.

"Our goal every season is to go for everything," said Dias. "We go by processes and in the beginning, it’s about staying in the competitions – whatever they are – we just stay in but now it’s about winning things. There’s still a long way to go even though it will be quick now.

"There’s still a lot of games to play, but we take one at a time, if we think too much ahead, we start to lose the focus. We have to think in the moment. We do our best and nothing else.
