Ruben Amorim 'to axe' four Man United stars as £120m transfer lined up

Manchester United are closing in on the appointment of Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese will be the latest manager to try and turn fortunes around at Old Trafford. Amorim will be the sixth permanent boss at M16 since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013.

And the 39-year-old will be expecting to be backed in the transfer market by Ineos as he looks to take United back to the top of English and European football. Reports in TEAMtalk have claimed that Amorim has already begun discussing his transfer plans with the the club's board.

It is said that four players ‘don’t interest him’, and he is ready to sell them in January. They claim that Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof are not part of Amorim’s long-term plans. Both players' contracts are due to expire next summer.

it is said that the incoming manager is also ready to offload Casemiro and Antony. Both players were brought to Manchester for big money but have failed to live up to their price tags.

Elsewhere, CaughtOffside have claimed that United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala as he approaches the final year of his contract. Musiala has shone for Bayern and Germany in recent seasons and is seen as one of Europe's brightest talents.
