Ruben Amorim has agreed a deal to become Manchester United manager following Erik ten Hag's dismissal - which is going to transform his life.

Amorim became one of the most expensive coaches in global football when Sporting paid to bring him in from Braga in March 2020. The Portuguese giant forked out for his £8.3million (€10million) release clause after recognising Amorim as a rising young manager.
Given that he spent nearly his entire playing career in the Primeira Liga - split between spells at Belenenses, Benfica and Braga - Amorim would have had a substantial bank balance before transitioning into coaching. The Sun reports that Amorim has an estimated net worth of £13m.
United are expected to match the £8.3m (€10m) release clause that Sporting paid to bring Amorim to Old Trafford.
