Ruben Amorim press conference LIVE Bruno Fernandes updates, Man United injury latest and team news
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will address the media today to discuss the Boxing Day clash with Newcastle.
The Reds played well in defeat at Aston Villa on Sunday and a victory over Eddie Howe's side would move them into fifth ahead of the remaining Premier League fixtures this week. If United are to do that, they will need to do it without a host of players.
Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt have been sidelined of late while Noussair Mazraoui, Amad and Bryan Mbeumo are away at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Bruno Fernandes suffered a soft tissue injury vs Villa and has been assessed while Kobbie Mainoo missed the trip to Birmingham with a calf issue.
Amorim is expected to provide updates on the injured players today. The January transfer window could also be discussed this afternoon ahead of the market reopening next week.
